Introduction

These Terms of Service govern your use of mokoroot.com, our online booking at mokoroot.as.me, and all services and products offered by MoKo Root Skin House and MoKo Root Skin. Both are operated by MoKo Root Holdings LLC, a Texas limited liability company (“MoKo Root,” “we,” “us”).

By using our website, booking a service, purchasing a membership, or visiting the Skin House, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.

The Skin House is located at Mio Salon, 210 Adriatic Pkwy, Suite 102D, Adriatica Village, McKinney, Texas.

Booking and appointments

All appointments are booked online through mokoroot.as.me. We do not accept bookings by phone. The Skin House serves one guest at a time, so each reservation holds a private block of time reserved only for you.

  • Deposits: A deposit or card on file may be required to secure your appointment.
  • Cancellations and rescheduling: Please cancel or reschedule at least 48 hours before your appointment through your confirmation email or online booking.
  • Late cancellations: Cancellations made with less than 48 hours notice forfeit the deposit.
  • No shows: Missed appointments without notice forfeit the deposit and may be charged the remaining balance of the service price.
  • Late arrivals: Arriving late may shorten your treatment so the next guest is not delayed. Full service pricing still applies. Arrivals 15 or more minutes late may be treated as a no show.
  • Our cancellations: If we need to cancel or reschedule, we will contact you as soon as possible and any deposit will be refunded or applied to your new appointment.

Guests must be at least 18 years old to book services unless a parent or legal guardian books, consents, and is present.

Memberships

The Skin House offers three monthly memberships: Ripple, Tide and Grotto. Each includes the service and skincare discount described on our Memberships page (10%, 15% and 20% respectively).

  • Automatic renewal: Memberships are billed monthly to the card on file and renew automatically each month until you cancel. By purchasing, you authorize these recurring charges.
  • Cancellation: You may cancel anytime through your Acuity account or by emailing us. Cancellation stops future billing; the current paid month is not refunded.
  • Unused services: Monthly services do not roll over to the next month and have no cash value.
  • Booking: Membership services are booked online like any other appointment and follow the same cancellation and no show policy.
  • Personal use: Memberships belong to the member and may not be shared or transferred unless we agree in writing.
  • Price changes: We may change membership pricing with at least 30 days notice by email. Continuing your membership after the change takes effect means you accept the new price.
  • Failed payments: If a payment fails, membership benefits pause until payment is updated.

Offers, gift cards and loyalty card

  • First visit offer: The $30 off first visit offer applies once per new guest, cannot be combined with other offers or memberships, and has no cash value.
  • Loyalty card: Your MoKo Root card is punched once per paid service. After nine punched services, your tenth qualifying service is complimentary. Lost cards cannot be replaced or reissued with prior punches. Punches have no cash value and are not transferable.
  • Gift cards: Gift cards are not redeemable for cash except where required by law and are not replaced if lost or stolen.
  • Promotions: We may change or end any offer at any time; offers already redeemed will be honored.

Health, safety and results

Our services are cosmetic and wellness treatments. They are not medical treatment and are not a substitute for care from a physician or dermatologist.

  • Your health information: You agree to complete our intake form honestly and to tell us about any medical conditions, pregnancy, allergies, medications (including retinoids and blood thinners), recent procedures, or skin sensitivities before every visit.
  • Our right to decline: We may modify, shorten or decline a treatment if we believe it is not safe or appropriate for you. Hydrotherapy and heat treatments may not be suitable for guests who are pregnant or have heart conditions, high or low blood pressure, or other conditions.
  • Results: Results vary from person to person and are not guaranteed.
  • Reactions: Redness, sensitivity or temporary reactions can occur. Contact us and, if needed, a medical provider if you experience a reaction.
  • Aftercare: Following our aftercare guidance is your responsibility.
  • Personal belongings: We are not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged personal items.

Products, content and photography

  • Products: MoKo Root Skin formulations are made with natural ingredients but may still cause reactions. Review ingredients and patch test before use. Products are currently used exclusively in the Skin House; product sales, shipping and returns terms will be posted when online sales open. Opened or used products are not returnable.
  • Intellectual property: All website content, including the MoKo Root, Skin House and MoKo Root Skin names, wordmarks, synergy icons, photography, video, protocols and text, belongs to MoKo Root Holdings LLC. You may not copy, reproduce or use it without our written permission.
  • Photos and filming: We will not photograph or film you without your consent. If you agree to be featured, you will sign a separate media release.
  • Guest recordings: To protect the privacy of the Skin House and other guests, please ask before taking photos or video in the space.

Legal terms

  • Disclaimer: Our website and services are provided “as is.” To the fullest extent allowed by law, we make no warranties beyond those stated in these Terms.
  • Limitation of liability: To the fullest extent allowed by law, MoKo Root Holdings LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the service or product involved.
  • Your responsibility: You agree to hold MoKo Root harmless from claims arising from information you withheld or instructions you did not follow.
  • Governing law: These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Disputes will be handled in the courts of Collin County, Texas.
  • Changes: We may update these Terms at any time. The date at the top shows the latest version. Continuing to use our website or services means you accept the updated Terms.
